Ray Watt — Founder, Monvoy

Ray Watt is the founder of Monvoy, a leather goods house for the modern traveller.

Monvoy was established from a desire to make objects worth keeping — companion pieces that earn their place on the journey by becoming, slowly and irreversibly, yours. Ray's approach to design is shaped by proportion, material character, and reduction: refining ideas through iteration until only what is necessary remains.

Each Monvoy piece is developed in small runs, with close attention to construction and longevity. Rather than pursuing novelty or rapid expansion, the house emphasises craft and permanence — leather goods designed to sit naturally in everyday life, age with use, and travel well.

Ray's work reflects a belief in fewer, better objects — made deliberately, carried confidently, and kept for years. This philosophy guides Monvoy's continuing evolution into a cohesive collection of considered pieces shaped by intention, restraint, and character.
